Alternative to mats:) Help for horse with poor feet?

there is some new kind of shavings that you can add with regular shavings on top - they are wood stove pellets - i dont know what kind of matts you can get - but when the stall is stripped - sprinkle lime on wet spots after stalls cleared - buy wood burning pellets - for wood burning stoves - 3-4 bags - empty out in clean stall - take a sprinkling can - one of those garden water cans with a sprinkling spout - water pellets with a whole can or 3-4 can of water - let sit for 30 minutes - and presto - it turns into sawdust and is the most abbsorbant material availiable - then put regular shavings on top of this - also it wont be good for horse to be in mud or wet poddock area either during the day till this clears up - it will be a while - so this is a good option on a horse that pee s alot - make double sure that the wood burning pellets dont have starter fluid in them and that the horse doesant eat them -
